I’m an integrative psychotherapist, which means that I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies depending on your unique needs, preferences, and way of processing the world.
I am also a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, trained to work in ways that honour the wisdom, dignity, and rights of autistic, ADHD and AuDHD people. I’m deeply passionate about supporting late-identified autistic adults (18+) to explore who they are, identify and advocate for their needs, and reclaim the right to live authentically on their own terms.
I hold an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy from Tivoli Institute and I am pre-accredited with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). Where appropriate, I also draw on my own lived experience of neurodivergence, disability, and belonging to a minority ethnic group. I understand how painful it can be to feel as though you don’t quite fit into any one community. Exploring intersectional identities, and the internal tensions these can create, is something I have both a strong personal connection to and a deep professional interest in. I regularly work with people who are navigating existential questions about identity and self.
It’s really important to me that you feel safe and heard during our time together. I will welcome and accept you as you are, and do my very best to accommodate your specific needs and preferences (e.g., sensory, communication, processing). I aim to create a therapeutic space where you meet my open and genuine self, and we can explore what life is really like from your unique perspective.
Together, we can work to reduce feelings of anxiety or distress, making it possible to (re)connect more deeply with your core wants, needs, and the things that matter most to you. You might also experience the occasional therapeutic belly laugh, because although therapy is a serious business, it does not have to be free of humour when it arises naturally.
I offer online sessions (€65) and a limited number of in-person sessions (€80) at Castlepollard Therapy Centre, Co. Westmeath. I also provide initial consultations at a reduced cost of €30, so you have a chance to see if we’re a good fit.
If you’d like more information about what to expect, or if you’re feeling uncertain about anything, you’re very welcome to reach out to me directly through my website. I’d love to hear from you.
