Hi, I'm Sasha. I offer therapeutic coaching and psychotherapy to adult individuals online. I support my clients through their unique journeys of self-reflection, making sense of difficult situations and experiences, emotional healing, and understanding and dissolving blocks to personal fulfilment. My philosophy aligns with the Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy principle that people are all created inherently OK. Early emotional and practical experiences of family and cultures help people to form a frame of reference through which life experiences are understood. This frame of reference, together with an inherent sense of Self, shapes the way people think and feel about themselves and others, and how we operate in the world.
I use a combination of techniques and approaches from Relational Transactional Analysis, mindfulness, dream analysis, shamanic journeying, body-centred work, and inner child work, to help my clients gain insight into their thoughts and behaviours, and to identify and address any underlying emotional or psychological issues. I also believe that the therapist-client relationship is an essential part of the therapeutic process. I aim to help my clients move out of coping or survival mode, and to re-ignite and nurture a sense of inner OK-ness from where they can reclaim their healthy autonomy, spontaneity and intimacy, creating and living the life they intend.
I have completed a 4-year Advanced Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (UK level 7 (masters), Irish equivalent level 9). My core training is accredited by the United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis, a training organisation within the UKCP’s Humanistic and Integrative College. I have also completed a Certificate Course in Jungian Studies, I am certified as a Shamanic Practitioner and Shamanic Counsellor.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a Practitioner Member of the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN). Since 2014, my client work has spanned the charity, voluntary and education sectors, and I have been in private practice since 2017. I am based in Northern Ireland, and work with clients online across the world.
